There are no Federal standards for voting machine security

Electoral Cyber Defense Act

As representative of District 12, I will introduce legislation to ensure our voting machines are protected from cyber attacks.   The Electoral Cyber Defense Act would specify and mandate minimum security standards for electronic voting machines in all U.S. elections.  The F.E.C. and the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, in conjunction with Homeland Security, would create mandatory minimum security requirements for all electronic voting machines and would be responsible for oversight and compliance.

The integrity and security of the electoral process is vital to our American democracy.
